How do I sign up?

How old does my child need to be?

Suzi welcomes babies approximately six months and older for developmentally appropriate water introduction and parent coaching. There is no upper age limit.

Do you teach adults?

Yes. Suzi teaches adults at every level — from people who have never put their face in the water to experienced swimmers who want to improve their technique.

What should we bring?

A swimsuit and a towel. For very young children, a swim diaper is required. Goggles are optional but welcome. Suzi has everything else.

What kind of pool is it?

Suzi teaches in a private heated saltwater pool. It is not a public pool or a facility. It is Suzi's pool, used exclusively for lessons.

Is the pool heated?

Yes. The pool is heated. Lessons can continue during cooler months when outdoor air temperatures are appropriate, generally in the high 60s and above.

How long are lessons?

For young children, lessons are 15 minutes. This is intentional — young children have short attention spans and a focused 15-minute private lesson is more effective than a longer group class. Adult lessons are typically 30 minutes. Lesson length can be adjusted based on age, goals, and swimmer.

How often should we come?

Frequency matters. Swimming is learned through repetition. Suzi recommends lessons at least once a week, and more often when possible, especially for young children building foundational skills.

What if we need to cancel?

Life happens. Text Suzi as soon as you know. Lessons can be rescheduled. Purchased lesson packages do not expire, so you will not lose your lessons.

Will my child be drown-proof after lessons?

No swim lesson makes a child drown-proof. Swim lessons are one important layer of water safety. Active adult supervision and appropriate water-safety protections are always necessary, regardless of a child's swimming ability.
