Hi, I'm Suzi.
I have been teaching private swim lessons in Jacksonville Beach since 2011. What started as a way to share something I love has grown into a small local swim school that I am genuinely proud of.
I teach out of a private heated saltwater pool. Every lesson is one-on-one. I do not run group classes. I do not have a large staff. It is just me, the swimmer, and the water.
I teach babies, children, adults, fearful swimmers, neurodivergent swimmers, and families. I have worked with swimmers who were convinced they could never learn. Some of those lessons have been the most meaningful of my career.
I believe swimming is a life skill. I take it seriously. I also believe that learning should feel good — that a swimmer should leave a lesson feeling more capable and more confident than when they arrived.

How I teach.
I watch the swimmer. I listen. I adjust.
There is no standard curriculum that every swimmer follows at the same pace. There is the swimmer in front of me, what they need today, and where we are going together.
For young children, I use focused 15-minute private lessons. Short, purposeful, and consistent. Frequency matters more than duration.
For fearful swimmers — children or adults — I do not rush. Fear is information. We work with it.
I teach parents what I am teaching their child. The lesson is 15 minutes. The rest of the week matters too.
