I'm Suzi Teitelman, a private swim instructor with 40+ years of experience teaching swimmers of all ages and abilities in Jacksonville Beach, FL. I hold the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification and served as Head Swim Coach at The Ponte Vedra Inn and Club from 2006 to 2014. I teach in my own heated private saltwater pool, nestled under a beautiful oak tree — a calm, distraction-free environment where every swimmer gets my complete attention. My students have gone on to swim with sea turtles in the Bahamas, overcome lifelong water phobias, and discover a love of the water they never thought possible. Teaching people to swim is my passion — and watching a parent continue that at home is the greatest reward.

Hi, I'm Suzi — and teaching people to swim is genuinely my greatest joy. I've been in the water for 40 years, teaching since 1985, and I still get that same rush of happiness every single time a child's face lights up when they realize they can swim. I teach private, one-on-one lessons in my own heated saltwater pool in Jacksonville Beach — a warm, safe, completely private setting where your child (or you!) gets my full attention for every single minute of every lesson. No groups. No distractions. Just us and the water. I work with everyone: babies as young as a few months old (parents get in with them — I coach you both), toddlers, school-age kids, teenagers, adults, seniors, and adaptive swimmers. I have deep experience with special needs, anxiety around water, and children who've had difficult experiences in the pool before. I'm an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and I'm registered to accept the Hope Floats scholarship, government vouchers, and state swim assistance programs.
